Serious question why are these so popular?

I'm in the same boat and find these things silly but the green giant is cool so i got this for part of an office white elephant gift exchange. Can't wait to see the look on someone face when they open the bag and see this and a bag of frozen peas.

My guess is that they have so many figures that most everyone will have some figure that stems from a person or character that they like? I also know some people that start with a few then just get into a never ending quest to "complete" the collection.

Try poppriceguide.com or ebay to get a rough estimate

No clue. I don't think this accurately captures the Jolly Green Giant's face.

Collectibles. Nostalgia. Just like any other popular toys people like to collect I suppose. Neat to own some figures from favorite movies/shows you might like. My son has a few of them.

Walmart [walmart.com] has it for the same price too.

In for one plus $1 digital bonus as I'm old and oddly nostalgia worked on me for this one in essence for $2.66 (5% off the regular price for amazon card.) It will be a stocking stuffer for the wife.
