This monitor uses 6-bit eIPS panel (model LM240WU8-SLA2 16.7M color from 6bit + a-frc) by LG and does not really have the greatest color.

Who pays regular price?

I have two of them, and for $100 bucks you can't beat the features for regular work. It isn't a gaming monitor, and was never intended to be.

Great deal even if 8 years old. 16:10 and 300 nits

Dell still manufactures them due to the fact that it is a a very good monitor. You can't find anything in this price range with the features of this monitor (16:10 aspect ratio, 90 degree pivot for large documents, and very good color reproduction).

This is like a really old monitor.

From what I know about Dell Monitor's naming schemes, this came out in 2011 or 2012. The "12" of the U2412 stands for 2012 and the "24" is the screen size.

Good monitor or not, this is not worth $300 regular price in 2019, considering one can get nice 27" VA QHD 120hz panels for the same price.

Thanks! Was waiting for them to stock up again so I could replace my 2nd monitor. Now I'll have a matching pair.

They only give the height of the monitor with the stand. Could you possibly tell me what the height of this monitor is since you own one please?

That doesn't help you if you need 16:10 aspect ratio.

Great office monitor. Although it's an older model the build dates are recent. We have over 20 of them in the office

The height is adjustable. Measured from the desktop, the top of the monitor can be set so that it is between 15 3/4" and 20" from the desktop.

However, if you are asking about the dimensions of the display panel itself, it is 14 1/4" tall by 21 7/8" wide (from outside edge to outside edge of monitor bezel).

Yes, you beat me to it.. just confirmed 14 1/4"

I have two of these bought about 5 years ago. Very solid and great monitor -- I agree you won't find anything near this quality at this price. Totally different from the $89 "specials" on low-end 16:9 monitors that people usually ask about when this deal comes up.
