They should have packaged this with the 1951 original.

Favorite film of all time. Don't need another copy but buying anyway just to see the new transfer. I'm one of those that very rarely looks at "extras". I prefer NOT to know how things were done. Lol. Ruins the magic for me.

Looks like Amazon is price matching Target's Universal release version by mistake. Order from Amazon to be safe.

https://www.target.com/p/the-thin...-76877018?

Or it's possible that Target's info about studio being Universal is incorrect. UPC does match the SHOUT factory 826663169508. You can also try price matching this to Best Buy [bestbuy.com]

Some of the best acting you'll ever see in a horror movie... Shout remastered it this way so that the 2011 prequel fits seamlessly with this version ... should be part of any horror fan's film collection...

I have had this in my camelizer watch list for at least 2 years. I never even see the used copies on ebay get this low. And this way you should get the cardboard slip cover, if you care about that!

I was just doing some quick searching and it looks like there was a new 4k 3-disc set released last year. At first glance it would appear to compare favourably, but at $33 for that edition...

Mine was the scene when the monster rises up out of the ground in the tunnel and roars at MacReady who says "F@ck you too!" Lol.

Surely this movie will get a 4k release in the next 2 years, right?

What do u mean about it blending in with the prequel? Did they add/cut some scenes? I really wasn't a fan of the prequel irregardless.
