Nothing worthwhile to see here. The only decent deals are refurbished units, and we can get them new for not that much more by catching sales here and there.

Dyson seems to be the kid at was sitting near Steve Jobs and said, I can sell things like that, and I can market them like that, now if I could only build them like that...

Professional model is not too different other than the shape of cincentrator attachment, length or cord and ability to take the filter housing off instead of only being able to slide it down for consumer model.

The new V7 Absolute seems like a good deal $330-20% = $275 Other retailers have the V7 Animal for sale for $240 and then I would want to pick up the soft roller attachment which runs about $75.

Am I missing something? Lot's of criticism about these it seems?

I saw the sale on the V7 Fluffy the other day but was dissuaded by comments that the direct drive head didn't work with it. This will primarily be for carpet but would also like the option for tile.

Are you in need of cheap plastic junk that fails often? Allow me to introduce you to Dyson!

There is a reason they have so many outlets carrying their apparently never ending supply of refurbished products. Buyer be aware.
I have several of their refurbs that came to me good as new. I think people end up sending them back because they can't figure out how to unclog after they suck up a sock, furball or other impediments. IMO, Dyson makes them very simple to clear blockages. All the key choke points come apart and go back together easy-peasy!

When I was kid we used a broom and dustpan and gathered rocks for a delicious soup.

Why would you buy a Dyson from here, when the V8 animal is only $300 from Costco and includes lifetime warranty?

Dyson = overhyped overpriced junk.

Buy a 200 dollar correctly designed Shark.

Funny you mention that cause I just went to my local Lowes to try out a V7, bought used(customer return), and as soon as I turned it on,it was jammed with a little hairball that I just pulled out easy. It couldn't have even been used more than a few times, almost 0 scratches inside the dust bin.

Yes having to disassemble the entire hose assembly to unclog a post it note that any correctly designed 50 dollar vacuum could have easily handled is really simple.

Because that was the the 50th hair ball clog during ten minutes of use,
