If you're on verizon, this deal is really good. If you're not, the google fi deal is really mediocre (as of 10/15/2019)

Buy Google Pixel 4, get another on us.
  • Buy any Pixel 4 with monthly device payments and get one Pixel 4 64GB on us, or $800 off any other Pixel 4.
  • Add one of these phones as a new smartphone line to your account on any Unlimited plan.
  • Then you'll see a credit of $33.33/mo over 24 months on your bill.
Plus, get a $200 Prepaid Mastercard when you switch to Verizon on Unlimited.
  • Add any Pixel 4 as a new smartphone line to your account on any Unlimited plan.
  • After checkout, visit vzw.com/digitalrebatecenter. Enter promo code: FALLSWITCH and the other necessary information when prompted.
  • Receive your Prepaid Mastercard within 8 weeks.

Get $450 off any Google Pixel 4 [IMHO A WAY BETTER DEAL]
  • Buy any Pixel 4 with monthly device payments on any Unlimited plan.
  • Trade in one of the phones below within 30 days after check out.
  • Get $450 credited to your account over 24 months.
Trade in list is very generous, iphone 5s and galaxy s4!

Trade-In Phone To Buy Below:
  • Reconditioned Total Wireless 16GB Samsung Galaxy S5 Prepaid Phone [totalwireless.com] $49.99
  • choose the $25 Unlimited Talk & Text (No Data) Plan Card
  • use code OCTOBER20 at checkout to take $15 Off the phone's price
  • final price for both the phone + $25 plan card should be $59.99 + tax with Free 2-Day Fedex Shipping
  • : Trade the phone for $450 credit towards the Pixel 4 @ Verizon (search 'Samsung Galaxy S 5 Prepaid 16GB Other Black' when filling out the trade-in information on Verizon, then pick through each option listed until you find the one with model # SM-S903VL and use that) EDIT: Use phone or chat to order if you do not have the phone in hand. Website will ask for IMEI.
  • NOTE: Be sure to take the Total Wirless SIM card out of the phone and keep it, along with $25 plan card to perhaps set up a new 'throwaway' number on Total Wireless to use for a port-in deal @ another carrier, i.e. Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, Cricket, etc.

I wonder if I should do this, or wait for a possible 50% off sale on Black Friday at Best Buy with possible no bill credits? I have an extra phone on the list I would be willing to part with.
As far as I can tell, if you're in the US, the four obvious options are:

1. If you want to switch to Verizon, do this deal
2. If you want to switch to TMobile, do their deal ($800 trade-in value for a Pixel 3 via 24 monthly credits against an EIP if you transfer in)
3. Pay nearly full price
4. Wait until BF or later

I'm already with TMo, don't want to switch to VZW, and don't want to pay nearly full price, so I'm gonna wait.

Be aware Pixel 4 has no fingerprint reader - face only. If you are used to accessing bank accounts, etc via apps that use the fingerprint, you're SOL (or back to passwords) until those apps all update to face recognition (if they ever do.)

That was a deal breaker for me.

Quote from JSP0421

I assumed that the apps just receive a success or fail from the OS and that face unlock would work with any app that uses fingerprint. Can any mobile developers weigh in?
Android Pie deprecated a fingerprint exclusive check and changed it to a biometric check. Therefore, any app that is using up-to-date code should be compatible with face unlock.

Does anyone know if these come unlocked? Last I was told or read was that verizon phones started to become locked for a certain period, like 60 or 90 days.

Will a phone with non working wifi be eligible for trade in? Thanks
I would assume so.

On their site, it gives you two options to choose from:

1. GOOD: It turns on AND there's no battery damage AND the screen isn't cracked or broken

2. DAMAGED: It won't turn on OR there's battery damage OR the screen is cracked or broken

Only if you select damaged, you get the following additional options:
  • Can the device be powered on?
  • Is the screen free of cracks and functioning correctly?
  • Is the device free of battery damage indicated by swelling, leaking or is too hot to touch? If your phone is damaged in any of these ways, it is not eligible for trade in.
  • Is the activation lock turned off ? (for example, Find My iPhone /Activation lock/Anti-Theft Protection)

If you select GOOD or select Damaged and then Yes to each question, you get the full $450 amount. If you select No for any option under Damaged you don't get the promo rate.

This offer has me intrigued. I've got an old galaxy s5 sitting around with practically no retail value otherwise, so this could mean a $550 pixel 4 xl with 128gb. Not bad.

Although, I'm currently using a pixel 3, and the experience hasn't been the greatest (lag in the camera), and Google dropping original quality photo and video backups for the pixel 4 is a major loss of a differentiating feature. Not sure if this is worth it or not.

Normally I'd say go for it, especially since the trade-in promo doesn't require a new line or all that recent of a new phone, but Black Friday is a little over a month away and probably won't require a trade-in at all. I'm gonna stand pat for now

Be careful this phone has a 90hz display and smaller battery than the pixel 3. They also made no mention about how long the battery last during the presentation which doesn't look good...

It's locked for 60 days. Pretty irrelevant for this deal - you'd lose $450 in Bill credits, which is the only reason this is a deal.

If you pay it off early, the bill credit ends. It's their way of locking you in for two years. Considering the discount, it's a reasonable trade off. It's essentially the new way of doing two-year contracts.
besides the bill credits, you also get hit by the $30 or so monthly plan charge which is an extra you pay them besides the plan charges. bu this looks like a nice deal for anyone who already is or wants to stay with Verizon.

So if I want 2 of these to replace 2 phones on my unlimited beyond account, I could get 2 $450 credits making the phones free or is it $350ea plus tax based on $799 for the 64gb?

There are no more access fees. You are thinking of the old plans.

How do you wind up paying an extra $30 in plan charges? You just mean because you need to add a line?
