Don't throw away after use, you can save it! But must act fast

Another method of reusing a non-empty can is to promtly clean the nozzle and straw with something containing acetone, like most nail polish removers. Acetone dissolves uncured foam. I believe xylene also works, so Goof-Off will work too.

This is a closed cell foam. If you cut off the outer edge water will get in to the open cells and you'll have wasted your time with the bodywork. There are specialized foam products made specifically for auto repairs that won't absorb water.

I've used this for window and door installation for 30+ years. It's doesn't deteriorate in closed spaces. If you let the sun hit it it will deteriorate in a few years. Always lay a drop clothe on the floor. Don't over foam. You will crush the window frames. You can always go back and add more. If foam falls to the floor or touches the wall as much as you want to clean it up don't touch it until it's completely cured. Removal is much easier. Don't get it on your hands or it will take 3 days for the oils to release it from your skin. Latex gloves can help.
There are many different foams out there. Use the correct one for your project.
One last thing. The can has a shelf life of about a year. Unused cans are usually junk after a year.

If your pests include mice I recommend shoving some steel wool in the hole first before spraying this in.

yep its good but be warned you have to use the whole can at once the next time you go to use it , it's all gummed up and won't work.

I agree, the great stuff with the new smart dispenser are the way to go. You don't get the mess and you have up to 30 days to use the can.

If you are going to use them right away though, this is a good deal.

It's always nice to have a couple cans on hand since they are one time use. It's a bit wasteful unless you know you have a decent sized project to complete.

Good price though.

I bought two cans of this last week to insulate a feral cat shelter I am building. I realized that I need something that expands more. The price seemed good which is why I got it but this is for smaller sized gaps...I am trying to fill in the hollow walls of a plastic dog house so I need to get something that will fill in a wider space better.

Having a hole in my house where cable runs in is annoying me. Is this a good fix to keep out potential pests or something more permanent?

It will work for that. Wear gloves and go easy with it. You can sand away the extra after it hardens.

Yeah that's the Tried and true way. They also have a pest foam albeit not on sale and it may be geared toward insects only
