Got one open box a little cheaper. I don't use it much but it's handy as a backup or when you need to drill tile

Good deal if you don't need batteries. Combo with (2) 5Ah XR batteries go on sale during holidays. Can be had for around $150 or so. Got that deal last year around Black Friday time but I needed some XR batteries so...

Good price new from Amazon. Can be had for around $80-85 on ebay. Possibly without warranty, so that's a personal preference.

Has lots of torque, carbide inserts in jaws, nice tool.

I was watching this previously and it's apparently on clearance at Home Depot for cheaper. Obviously a YMMV situation but I believe it was around $80.

I scored one of these around when that deal was posted. I'm sure most are long gone by now. It was awesome though. Overkill for what I do around the house, which isn't much. But when I need to turn to a powerful cordless drill, it'll be an absolute beast!

Yup, I got mine with two 5Ah batteries for $150 on eBay. I just used it earlier today to drill through brick. With the right bit it drills holes like butter.

If you're not careful you can rip your arm and shoulder off with this thing. It is definitely the King of the Hill. This is a great price.

Weak they are still doing inserts. One of three broke on mine within two weeks any bit a 5/16" or smaller wobbles now. My other contractor friend has 2 broken while it was new as well.

This is a great drill. I used it to drill at 5/8" hole through a 6" concrete slab. Took a decent amount of effort but got through it. It also is great for using as a normal drill, I put 5/8" hole through 6x6 posts effortlessly with this.

You seem to like putting 5/8" holes in big stuff. ;-)

But yes this is a very nice drill especially if you are doing the kind of stuff you describe, and also need a hammer-drill feature. If you don't need that I'd honestly pick something lighter-duty. I got this because I recently got a brick house, that's built, like, um, a brick house, so I have lots of masonry drilling in my future. For me I'll use a lighter (probably 12V) drill for "household" tasks and this for big work.

A related deal, if you can find it, very YMMV, is this one for $280 with this drill, 2 FlexVolt 6AH batteries, and the 60V saw, and a ToughSystem case (worth about $45 just for the case). Some HD stores still have it but it depends on where you are. This drill is 20V but can use the power of the 60V battery (it supplies 20V to a 20V tool, of course, but due to its construction it can provide max current for high-load applications).

Yes, even better than "good." Only drawback is that it will be larger and heavier. It might not fit into small areas and you'll feel it in your wrist if you're using it a lot. I tend to like the compact models (there are some nice new smaller DeWalts, though I personally like the Milwaukee M12 line) and then something big like this for "serious" stuff. The Hammer feature is essential if you have concrete, cinder block, brick. Otherwise you'll probably never need it.
