Seems like a good price for that much distance being traveled.

None of these SEA deals mean shit to me when you have to travel on a Chinese airlines.
just so you know, china southern airlines have a higher rating on skytrax than your big 3 US airlines in terms of service, quality and comfort.

You both have valid points.
Now, it this deal were on ANA or Korean or Thai Airways, I'd be on it and type this via skyFi.

But Chinese Airlines, typically, are as quality and reliable as your HiSense TV set in your garage.

If you mean the notorious China Airlines, that is based in Taiwan. Also it is curious you put Korean in your go-to list considering their accident history is one of the worst...

Anyway solid deal for those that can stand or can plan around a long layover. I've flown China Southern before and have no complaints about their economy product.

China Air is Taiwan airline and keeps to schedule very well. Not sure if it is available, but I would prefer it if I was traveling.

Looks like most of these have layovers in Guangzhou. Does anybody have experience with transferring flights at that airport? How long will it take to make a connecting flight?

China Southern seems to be a decent airline. The website says two checked bags are included for free, and it's only $15 to choose a seat (or you could choose a seat towards the back for free). That's pretty good for economy. Anyone with experience?

The safety standard that airlines are judged by is accidents per mile flown. Would I fly either? Sure, since the chance is still very low. However if you want to compare airlines it is inevitable that their relative safety will be compared...and someone did bring it up earlier in this thread.
