First time anyone has ever wished that.

not ever since nvidia made their GPU freesync compatible. Right now it is better to go for the freesync version because of it more compatibility. I'm in the same camp wishing the freesync is this price.

None of the ones you've mentioned offer same resolution at native 144hz

Man, very tempting. The reviews on the ultrawide are not great, mainly due to 1-star dead pixel reviews.

Anyone have thoughts on using just the 32-inch one to replace current dual 1080 monitors? Mainly for work purposes, having multiple word docs and PDFs open....

its the better spec monitor of the two, especially since nvidia cards can use freesync now. Still this is a great price

Freesync has never, and will never, be as expensive as G-Sync. The extra module and testing for certification increases costs significantly. Otherwise you'd see cheapo G-Sync monitors like these flooding the market:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X3MKNFR/
https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=39744

If you do a quick search you'll see numerous freesync monitors from major brands as well with the same specs (or better) already at the same price (or cheaper), not on sale:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Acer-3.../119409744
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SQ3VKL5
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077P62F8X

And there's several more around the same price range as this post already. If you're waiting for Freesync at this price, you don't have to wait. That's the going price for Freesync.

Waiting on a Freesync version, but it's pretty much what I'm looking for.
