Seems like a good price, would the price drop further in the coming months especially during BF?

Good deal on a good TV but I wouldn't call it slick.
You can get it same price at Sam's and I imagine it will be this price all the time soon.

1,200 nits and 240 zones is insane at this price.

It's possible but this model is being cleared out for next years supply so I feel like stock is getting really low in some places and your chances might get risky if you wait.

At this price, the Quantum X (PX75-G1) could be slick. Still, for those not needing/wanting 75", the 65" X under $900 is a better target.

It's been floating around $1600 for a while. Keep an eye on Dell if you want this TV - e gift card plus lots of other stacking (portal, credit card...)

I snagged the P 75 Quantum X at my local sams club last week for $1399. Either I was really lucky or these are about to plummet in price.

Where are they selling the 65" for that price?

My local sam's had only one of them sitting away from the other tv's, in box, over by a clearance section. I am not sure why. It had a little manager sticker on it saying it was marked down to $1399 for reason "last one." I am not sure if I was just lucky or if this is widespread.

I believe there is a very slim chance of that happening for me. I will still go check it out though.

Clearing up some confusion:

This model is THIS YEAR (2019). It is labeled the P Series Quantum and sits between the P Series Quantum X and M Series Quantum. This is most equivalent to last years P Series(2018). The P Series Quantum(2018) was the flagship model last year, and this year it is the P Series Quantum X.

What does this all mean? If you can find a 2018 P Series Quantum for this price, it will actually be a bit better of a tv than the 2019 P Series Quantum. However, the 2019 P Series Quantum X is the true 2019 replacement for the 2018 P series Quantum and is the flagship this year.

Edit: Hierarchy of 'performance' 2018 P Series < 2019 P Series Quantum < 2018 P Series Quantum < 2019 P Series Quantum X. That being said, go to rtings to find the actual differences between models. For most people, the differences will be negligible as far as picture quality is concerned if this is to be a day-to-day TV.

The X has anti-reflective coating (less glare), much brighter (great for HDR content), and more local dimming zones (better contrast). Basically better picture quality for $800 more of the price. I would go with Samsung at that price point.
