Movies Anywhere doesn't actually sell anything. But they do link you to the best digital deals, wherever they may be. So what you're seeing on MA is actually a link to buy that movie for $4.99 in itunes.

They may also link to Vudu, as Vudu also has many of the Resident Evil films for $4.99 each. But Vudu does not offer the same ones in 4K that iTunes and Movies Anywhere does. But if you buy in iTunes and have your accounts connected to Movies Anywhere, they will upgrade to 4K in Vudu when and if Vudu offers 4K playback of each title.

iTunes has been killing it with $5 4k. So if Roku has the app now I'm actually able to partake?

Yeah, I don't think it's the RE 'collection' for $4.99 on MA... or at least I'm not seeing that.

Wish I could attach a screenshot via the iOS app, but all I'm seeing (on the homepage, anyway) is most of the individual movies in the RE collection being 'advertised' (in the Deals section) for $5 per movie.

Correct. But if you click on Resident Evil Extinction (for example), Movies Anywhere will give you the option to buy for $4.99. If you hit the buy button, it will take you to iTunes for your purchase.

I never saw any of the later entries in the series, but the original Resident Evil was surprisingly good for a video game movie.

Do you know if, you already have HD in MA because a movie wS redeemed in vudu. But, now, you have the same movie on 4k and what to redeem that code....will it allow you to redeem it and where? I want to use it at vudu or any service but I don't want to Lose the code because its already in HD and won't give me the new 4k version. Any info on this...I'm scared to put in ten 4k codes

If you have physical 4k codes look here https://datastudio.google.com/rep.../page/r5Py
Look for the movie you have and in the second or third column it will show a link where to redeem to get 4k.

Same. Though I did watch the second one and was like... nah i'm done with this franchise, they just got too action oriented and cheesy, haven't seen the other 4 at all. The first one though is a legit decent zombie flick.

Resident Evil movies are from Sony, which is a partnering studio with Movies Anywhere. Anytime you have a 4K code from an MA-eligible studio (Disney, Fox, Universal, Sony) you always want to redeem your code directly in Movies Anywhere to ensure you get the 4K rights to the movie.

You can also check the 4K redemption spreadsheet to be sure. Some Fox 4K discs have codes that only redeem in HD (The Greatest Showman and Red Sparrow come to mind). So it's not always a guarantee. It's the Lionsgate and MGM codes that you really have to be careful with when redeeming because they don't port anywhere.

Most Fox codes require that you enter your code at foxredeem.com and then choose your provider. A lot of times the only provider option is Movies Anywhere. However, some older Fox codes from regular Blu-Rays like Deadpool, and the X-Men movies, give you the option to redeem directly into iTunes. Do it. iTunes will upgrade your movie to 4K for free (if available) and then will port to Movies Anywhere in 4K. Older Universal codes are similar. Just redeem them directly in iTunes.
