If you are close to a microcenter I would still recommend the inland premium over any of these similarly priced drives.
Just curious, are the microcenter brand drives good?

Maybe, who knows? Maybe it affects Chinese made laptops. If people are buy fewer laptops, for whatever reason, then there might be a glut in inventory, sure.
everything is made in china. we pay more for everything we want with no reason. this holiday season is not going to be good for deals shoppers.

This is a "low performance" 1TB SSD and as such, should be priced low. DRAM-less and low speeds.

My point is, SD's used to be flooded daily with SSD deals. Lately, not so much (if at all). Prices are decent compared to 6 months ago, but the decline seems to have eased a bit. That was all I was saying...
Agreed!

yes i would also recommend that drive over this one, it is faster and only $10 more if you have Microcenter nearby. Here is the thread.

ADATA claims Read 2100MB/s , Write 1500MB/s on this drive, the Inland Premium claims Read 3100MB/s , Write 2800MB/s

You can also get it at Amazon [amazon.com] for $111.

How much faster is this drive versus say a SATA Crucial MX 300 or 500 series? I'd only use it to put my games on it. And continue using my regular SATA SSDs for Windows and programs.
Never mind, this thing blows any SSD out of the water. Amazing. I'm only concerned about the longevity of this drive / failure rate. Any current users of this drive out there?

the drive is relatively new so longevity reports would be anecdotal, however it is backed with a 5-yr wty.

It was sold out while they were taking orders. I ordered mine on Friday and it's still processing. Was hoping to have it before my vacation now I'm stuck in the waiting game for them to get more I guess.
