Same thing people around the World are saying about the U.S. these past couple of years.

IDK, China is not NK. Name one American failed to come back in recent years. The last one whose case was remotely similar was a Canadian dealing meth over there. Well if that's your thing, sure avoid China.

Why is there always a posting for trips to China every week ? Last time op posted a deal to Hong Kong and they literally started protesting at the airport.

For those of you going to China in the near future...delete any photos or social media apps that has to do with the Freedom of Speech situation. They have the right to detain you and lock you up even if you simply gave a "like" to a post.

I am a middle aged American and have gone to China around six times, starting in 1985 as a teenager to my latest trip in 2011 with my wife. Loved it there, the food, people, and shopping. Loved Xi'an, Beijing, Guilin, etc. Had plans in the future to visit with my kids and visit Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, etc

BUT, I can't consciously go to a country where people are repressed, there is limited "freedom" and liberties, where the CCP has rounded up millions of Uighurs, taken over Nepal, etc. Everyone is tracked via facial recognition technology. Everything you buy is tracked via Alipay or WeChat pay. China requires people to do business with them to "share" their technologies or steal or copy your technology.

No, I will not travel there.
