Found this DCST970X1S in the clearance aisle for $185.06, marked down from $249 and they have a few. I'm not familiar with these type of trimmers but need one to replace my crappy Craftsman.

Quite a few in stock locally at $229. Will grab if it drops to $185. This is a pretty great trimmer, according to reviews and various forums. Should help fill out my FlexVolt catalog. I want another of the 3Ah batteries, which are currently running $128 at Amazon. I'd take another charger and trimmer for $60 more.

I have this. Great price if you find it. Plenty of power. Seems to use a lot of line, but maybe that's normal (I used to use a walk behind trimmer so not sure). I did buy the larger guard direct from Dewalt. It took weeks to arrive but makes a HUGE improvement.

I also have the 12" and 16" chainsaws. Both work great for me, though the 16" can overheat batteries with constant hard use so you'll want at least 2, probably 3 (of 3ah at 60V).

All that said, I sort of wish I'd waited and gotten the newer Milwaukee so that my trimmer could also be a pole saw, as I have to trim a lot of branches at least 2x a year.

Got one at my local HD, they had a couple more (07652). I also got in on the drill/circular saw clearance kit, so have 2 6 ah flexvolt batteries as well.

Been looking for a dcf887 deal, since I was there I talked to an employee, asked if he could do anything if u bought both, and he took $20 off the price of the 887 with 2 batteries.

Sure, not the greatest deal as I could stack coupons and an Amex offer at Lowe's, but decent enough for me!
