20k AAdvantage points if you switch to sprint. 5k for existing customers

+57 Deal Score
13,102 Views
Sprint is running a promo where if you switch to sprint, the signup bonus is 20k AAdvantage miles and 5k additional miles if you stay with them for the next 12 months.
I am not sure how long it takes for the signup bonus miles to post so that you can switch back to what ever carrier you like if you don't like sprint.

For existing customers this is a no brainer, just update your AAdvantage number and keep accumulating 417 miles/month (totaling 5k miles per year).

Activate a new Sprint account and earn up to 25,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles in your first year. That's enough miles for a MileSAAver® round-trip domestic class ticket (plus government fees of $5.60 per one-way trip).*

*Round-trip ticket refers to a Main Cabin class ticket in the continental U.S.

AAdvantage® Members Can Earn:

Existing Customers can earn up to 5,000 AAdvantage® miles a year.

Note: Offer not combinable with SWP discount. Business accounts are not eligible. Existing customers who enroll in this program will not be eligible for an SWP discount, and any current discount will no longer apply.

Get pre-registered for the Sprint Offer for AAdvantage® members. We will keep your information for 90 days, but does not obligate you to activate service with Sprint.

I'm on the free plan and registered. Got the email confirmation and everything. Worst they can do is not post the points.

I think this has been ongoing as I've been getting 417 miles a month for like a year now.

Go to promo.sprint.com/MilesStatus to check the status of your AAdvantage® miles. You'll need your confirmation number, phone number or the email address used for registration.

Please allow 8-10 weeks after registration before miles are added to your AAdvantage® account. Log into your AAdvantage® account at aa.com to view your mileage activity

2 bad my BYOD will end soon. Does free last past the year?.

If you're a current customer with a discounted rate, opting out for the AA miles will result in cancellation of any discount you are currently enjoying.

No. I signed up for Unlimited Kickstart back in August and signed up for the promotion. A few days later I got an email from Sprint saying that the unlimited Kickstart plan does not combine with the advantage airline miles. At least they sent me an email to let me know in advance, rather than waiting for me to notice that the miles never posted.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I seem to sign up with all these promos but never get lucky anyways so I've learned to not get my hopes up
