I was hoping that the Pixel 4 would be a real contender for the iPhone 11 Pro... But lack of wide angle and poor video capabilities (front limited to 1080p/30fps and back to 4k/30fps), I am highly considering switching to Apple this time around, after being on the Android train since Tmobile G2.

That's your only reason? Seriously?

Pixel have been at the top for photos for many years now so hopefully Pixel 4 doesn't disappoint. Might not get Pixel 4 because it doesn't support finger print which is also the fastest so that's really disappointing. Will see what deals are out there and need to test it during return period.

OnePlus doesn't support CDMA carriers like Verizon and Sprint.
Sprint literally has a oneplus phone on their website. Verizon can use oneplus as an lte only device, which is what all their phones will be once they drop CDMA soon.

Thank you for the write-up. I appreciate it.

I currently have a OnePlus 5T... so I was excited to see all these features being added to a "flat screen" phone (unlike the curved edges of the 7 Pro and the Samsung line-up).

Despite all those features, I'm getting myself more and more into photography and videography. I have a Sony A6000 (with both kit lenses, along with the Sony 35mm 1.8 and Sigma 16mm 1.4) and I value have the quality picture and video 95% of the time. I am on the fence of upgrading to the A6400, but holding back and investing that money in the new phone.

The 5T has a decent camera, but takes 60-70% good pictures. And I've seen so many reviews of the 7T, and despite being an improvement of the 5T, I can't get over of just how much better (and consistent) the iPhone 11 Pro (and Max variant) is in both photos and video.

The best camera is the one you have with you all the time, so what ever I decide this time around, I need to know that I'll be satisfied with the IQ.

My wife is complaining about her V20 being slow and mainly battery draining, so I am planning to hand down the 5T to her that has worked flawlessly in the past 2-years. But I might ask her to hold on a little longer until perhaps April/May next year when Samsung will hopefully regain it's photo/video crown or when OnePlus launches the 8.

I will admit that I hate using my work iPhone 6S and the clumsy iOS interface... so if I choose the iPhone 11 Pro, it will be a large sacrifice to the interface that I'm so in love with for the past 9-year.

If you do this in store can you use the gift card immediately toward buying the pixel 4?

Oh man, that's seriously tempting. I also have a Verizon SIM from work. Both SIM's can do call/text/data simultaneously?
Yup.

I was actually surprised as to how smooth both work together

just a simple tab the icon to switch

and you receive calls and texts for both

Well they are both flagship phones. A $1000 phone will have good performance and a great display, so I would say the camera strengths/weaknesses is a normal deal breaker for some. I mean it's what both devices sell themselves on.

I went from an S10+ to an iPhone 11 Pro Max and while I have been used to Android. I haven't been too put off by iOS. Only things I miss so far in the week that I have had it was notifications (I prefer Android's), headphone jack. I have definitely been enjoying the way better battery life vover my S10+ and camera overall (pictures a little bit, video a bit more noticeable). I have looked at the Pixel since the leaks been coming out, but no wide angle and supposedly no improvement to video and low mAh in battery made me go iPhone for now. At least until I see what the S11 offers.
