adidas_official via eBay has adidas Men's Adizero Adios 4 Running Shoes (Cloud White/Collegiate Navy) on sale for $39.99. Shipping is free. Thanks Phenomenon9
Depends on your definition of 'competitive'. It's definitely a great shoe for runners in the 3:00 range and probably still a good shoe for 3:30 folks. But it's not a good shoe for heavy runners. If you're 180+ lbs you might want to look for something else.
That price is a total steal. I recently got the new pink Vaporfly Next% for a steep discount ($150) and still save that one for A races. For everything else, the Adios is a great shoe and ridiculously good value for $40.
Thanks. I'm 210lbs and was highly debating this shoe as I wanted to get back into running.
Read their recent negative feedback. They sell things they don't have stock for so you could get no updates for 2 weeks and then they'll cancel on you.
i'm stuck on whether or not i should buy this. for 5k-10k races, i wear the Nike Zoom Streak LTs. for the half-full marathon, i wear the Nike Vaporflys. this leaves no room for racing with these shoes. the only reason i can think of for wearing these shoes is for interval workouts and tempo/fartlek runs but i am unsure if i should do that, or just stick to regular trainer shoes for it. the other reason for wanting to get these shoes is that i had my eye on them since the haile geb days and always wanted to try them. HELP!

Yeah they did cancel my order from two weeks ago just a couple days ago.
Actually I've bought stuff straight from Adidas online and had them cancel a month later without any explanation. Whilst I've ordered multiple times from the Adidas eBay official and had absolutely no problems! So yes, I myself would go with eBay Adidas before the Adidas online/app.
