Not a bad deal for someone who has zero tools but IMO $99 is still too much for this grouping.

If you have no tools like these, save your $$ and ONLY buy what you need, when you need.

Set up alerts for Ace, HD. Lowes, Menards, etc for the tools you want and make sure you check the deals offered here against other online offers.

Still giving rep to the OP though Wink

Lol at them labeling that kit a mechanics kit. Mechanics kits never include items like hammers

Looks like a great tool set for someone who has very little tools and would like a 'toolset' to keep around

I got this same set for $70 due to two $50 gift cards that I scored for $35 a piece! This is a very nice set for a beginner. I needed this for my work. So it was perfect. Plus they have a no hassle lifetime guarantee. Thumbs up and repped. Thanks OP. 😎

Meh.

It's a big mass of decent quality tools. If you are starting from nothing, you'll get use out of it for sure. But if you get into using them often, you're going to end up buying new sets to fix all the shortcomings in this set. It's generally cheaper to buy once vs. twice.

And keeping all this in one toolbag is an organizational nightmare. You'll need socket rails and a wrench roll at a minimum. Wrenches look like they're on the small end of the size spectrum, and there's no 1/2 ratchet/socket at all so this isn't going to get you very far if your goal is car maintenance.

All modern ratchets and wrenches are now made in china or taiwain.

Craftsman was the last one Made in America with USA stamped on it.
