Why is the L carrier so expensive. I'm looking for that along with this case

You have to wonder. Getting one, and the tote that stacks (even though it's not on sale). But I'm aware that the reviews say that it's brittle plastic (edges and handles). A new version *might* improve upon that, but at what cost? I'll just be a little careful with them at home. If I was a professional, no way.
Unless you are hauling bricks in them and relying only on the side handle pulled outward they are very durable. I use them professionally on a regular basis

Really hope the drawer set or the suitcase style go on sale next!
I own the whole encyclopedia of the ToughSystem line but I gotta say I think the weak link is the drawer set, average size/amount plier and wrench tools bows the floor of the drawer down. There is no cross support. I only put screwdrivers in that tote. The briefcases will hold any tool that fits and handles heavier tools just as this one posted albeit without the drawers.

HD has one of the best return policies and I try to buy from them if possible. 90 day return period

I hear this a lot here, how is it different than any other 90 day return policy elsewhere?

I disagree, the weak link is the little latch that clips various cases together. I broke one.
Now if they would just make a longer case that would fit my longer tools (like big plumbing wrenches and my DeWalt 20-Volt MAX Lithium-Ion Cordless Band Saw .

Thanks, bought 2 for all the dewalt deals that have been popping up over the past few months.

Hoping Black Friday deals are amazing to fill up the second case with!

Good case, my biggest gripe is that the bracing inside is non symetrical and doesn't lend itself to easily building dividers. The little bit/tool/etc holder is nice, but it makes building a storage/divider system that much harder. I've seen some people do it, though a lot of them are a box inside a box which is crazy to me. I'm going to at some point hit a local place that has bulk roll foam and get some thick foam and custom cut it for the different tools in each box. FWIW I'm starting to wish I had bought more 300's and less 400's, but the 400s are the one that were on sale for 25 bucks repeatedly, so that's what I have a ton of. I finally scored a deal on a second workshop rack (it was 67 bucks briefly on the 'zon the other day) though to put them all on.

Just purchased from Home Depot as its currently out of stock on Amazon

https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWAL.../203696529

Thanks OP and commenters. Getting one for my dad - he bought a cheapo toolbox that lasted him about a week (latch broke) so hoping he gets more life out of this one.

Thanks!

I got one of these from eBay for $30 last January. Might pick one up again from HD.

For those looking at the L Carrier, I went with this set from HD when it went on sale for $125: https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWAL.../300702772

Or you can just get this one by itself: https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWAL...204993-_-N

In for one, since I bought into this system already. Just waiting for a good deal on the cart and I'll be set.
