Looks really cheap, which is surprising for Bosch

We have this very heavy duty "looking" BOSCHE tripod at work for a $40k 360 degree/3d surveying device. The legs don't "lock" together but rather rely on spikes at the bases of the legs to keep them in position. Someone put the setup on a slick surface without realizing this. The legs slid out and everything collapsed to the ground. One leg broke where it pivoted at the tripod head. Looking at the metal we're it broke (I'm not metallurgist) it literally looks like cheap "pot metal". Sad.

Yeah, this looks very similar to a lot of cheap camera tripods I see at work, but with a Bosch logo on it.

I've seen these in the store. I like power tools and I like the Bosch brand and I also use camera gear but this tripod is very cheap. Buy it if you simply want to mount some very light cordless lights with 1/4" tripod thread or unless you need a cheap throwaway camera tripod.
