Personal opinion. I prefer my roku much more. Amazon fire sticks home screen is too jumbled with a mix of paid and free amazon content. Then your apps are thrown somewhere in there. Roku is just your apps and you go into what one you want to see your content. Much nicer I think.

Roku's greatest asset (at least in my mind) is that it is content platform agnostic - no worries about Google, Amazon, Apple, Disney, etc. and their fighting over what can be shown and on who's device. Roku gets a deal done and you're ready to watch the content you're playing for on the display you're using.

Problem for some of us is that amazon fire stick doesn't, and maybe won't ever, support Disney Plus.

I am inclined to agree. Of all the interfaces out there Roku has the most customizable and streamlined. YouTubeTV is still not on FireOS, so Roku wins there, too.

Does this really stream in actual 4K? Even my Plex server won't do that...

I have used both and I like the independent ad-free (between show/movies) over the fire stick. I also need roku for disney+ coming up.

Exactly what I have been saying. Aside from not being able to run Vudu, Amazon Fire TV's home screen is too confusing, and I spend so much time trying to find my movies, my watch list, my apps, etc. Roku is a cleaner, more intuitive user interface.
