Bought from these guys a couple of months ago. There was a hard sell on white glove delivery and the extended warranty. The delivery guys still opened the box and confirmed it would start up without paying for the white glove nonesense. The delivery did take three weeks to get from New Jersey to Chicago. Other than the slow delivery, the TV showed up and works great.

For those arguing about the model number, here is all you need to know. I hope this puts an end to it all. Credit to dfa973 an AVS Forum Special Member.

Link to the original article: https://www.avsforum.com/forum/40...-more.html

Available models ID's per geographic zones:

USA - C9PUA/C9AUA/C9AUB
AUS/NZ - C9PVA/C9PTA
EU - C9PLA / EU Germany C97LA / EU HU/AT/PT C9MLB
South Korea - C9BNA/C9GNA

The differences between the models inside of one region are small or none and different model codes exist only for marketing segmentation, channel differentiation or for preventing price matching or automated comparisons.

Examples:
- USA
---- the PUA model is marketed through the normal retail outlets (Best Buy, Fry's, Amazon, etc.);
---- the AUA is marketed through wholesale outlets or warehouse clubs such as Costco, Sam's Club or BJ's Wholesale Club or other warehouses;
---- the AUB has a different stand;

The PUA models are WiSA Ready devices, those models have the required software to let you control a WiSA set of speakers, but they do not have a WiSA transmitter built-in. WiSA Ready products require the purchase of an external USB WiSA transmitter. As for the AUA models, they do not have the required WiSA software installed and even with a dongle attached cannot connect or control WiSA compatible speaker systems. See the attached pictures of Sound Out menu for AUA and PUA models where the differences appear.

The PUA model has the side USB1 port marked blue as if it is a USB 3.0 port (SuperSpeed), the USB2 and USB3 are marked with white or black, as USB 2.0 ports (High Speed) - see the attached C9 Service Manual Block Diagram (the USB1 socket is not labeled as 3.0 in the diagram..., but as 2.0 just like the rest of the ports..., so we cannot be sure if it is a 3.0 port);
The AUA model does not have any blue marked USB ports, only white or black USB 2.0 ports (High Speed);

IIRC C9 and above support HDMI 2.1 and 4k/120hz. If next year's GPUs support the same, this 55"er will make a great monitor.

They always keep adding groundbreaking features to the LG TV's that I am not sure if it's even wise to buy a C9

True, step up to 4k/120 will be a pretty big deal, as will large screen OLED monitors.

I'm hoping these things hit $900 in January. Prices seem to be dropping like crazy.

You are funny! That's not going to happen. You might find an open box or display model for $900, but that's it.
What are you basing your opinion on? LGs manufacturing costs? A gut feeling? How much does it cost them to make a 55" OLED TV?

If you are going to wait for the 55" to hit $900 then I will wait for the 65" to hit $1000 ;-)

The 55B8 got down to $900 for like a day with a google express coupon. E8 got down to $1000 which is what I think I saw the C8 get down to as well. I doubt we'll be seeing $900 on the 55C9 anytime soon unfortunately.
