Awesome, thanks! Have been waiting for this since I missed the last one. My wife's older Kindle was quite slow. Trading it in gave an additional 25% off and a $25 trade-in credit. Less than $48 after tax!

Just get Calibre (free shareware) and conversion to .mobi or .azw takes only a couple of minutes. Been doing this for years.

They are dumping these now and will have a bigger price drop near black Friday 100% hold off.

so do you pay the full amount up front and then get the $25 and the 25% as a credit later on?

The way I am reading it you need to send in your current device to get the 25% off on a future purchase, by which time I'm assuming this will be back to regular price. So I am definitely confused by the process on how to get this for the $48 net.

I was able to get the credit and discount up front. I think it may depend on the particular trade-in device and condition.

Same price at Bestbuy and Target. Others may have the same price too.

It should discount your trade in (25% + trade value) during checkout. It did when I bought one last time they were on sale. Traded in a non-working first gen paperwhite for $5 + 25% off.

I have the last gen and would like the flush screen but I'm holding out for USB-C!

If you don't have a Paperwhite though, great reader.

So I spoke with Amazon via chat and they said I should have been able to get the $25 off up front (even though it didn't seem to give me that option). BUT to get the 25% trade in they needed to get my Kindle first, so if I wanted to order today they could only offer me 15% but not 25%. I said no thanks and that's it. So not sure if you guys have a different experience, but for me I couldn't combine this deal with the 25% trade in bonus. Sucks.
