Does refurbished make sense? The conditions of the battery and tool is unknown. Might get less life.

still get a year warranty, so not sure there is a downside.

These were brand new the other day for $149 but sold out after about 10 hours. This isn't a bad deal at all

Brand new for $150 and this is refurbished for 135? I would say this isn't the greatest deal then

I thought it was 146
. I think the battery life would be my only concern.

The $150 price was definitely a rare sight. You are correct tho, this isn't the greatest. If you need a good set of drills right now, this isn't bad. If you can wait, lots of better deals to be had!

Lots of better deals to be had? Do you have an example of one of these "better" deals i can compare with? The last time i got a refurbished DeWalt set from here it was perfect and still factory sealed so refurbished isn't an issue for myself personally

The 146 for new was a screaming hot deal imo, the lowest I had ever seen them prior was for $160 refurb. $136 refurb is still an incredibly slick deal.
Also, I've bought loads of dewalt 20v refurb/recertified, batteries have always been perfect and the tools like new.

If I didn't get the deal yesterday, I would have jumped on this. Manufacture refurbished should be A+ quality.

Bought! Thanks OP. I needed a drill and impact driver for a basement job I'm about to tackle; and I missed out on the other deal. I was debating going with an off brand from Harbor Freight, but these will do just fine!
