This is the upgraded 1.25 HP palm router. Very highly rated. Uses 1/4" chuck. May be YMMV, as includes a coupon that can be clipped on product page. Not sure if coupon is global or limited.
  1. Clip the coupon on the product page ($17.46).
  2. Automatic $20 off over $100 of Bosch tools promotion

There is something very wrong with the Amazon reviews of this router. It looks like they ported over the reviews from an older product. The product from the OP have the exact same reviews as this older version from Bosch. They are the same kind of tool but the one from the OP is the updated and meaningfully different model.

I have this older one and I have been very pleased with it.

Strong support for the Makita compact router as well. Very solid build, reliable.

I have the 1hp model and it doesn't hold depth out of the box, once I tightened the bolt though it holds just fine

Great price on a great router. I have this and it works like a charm. It was between this an the Makita, you can't go wrong with either but for this price grab it quick as I paid closer to $100 at Lowes.

The reviews of older 1 HP are co-mingled (which had some minor issues). This is newer 1.25 HP model and is generally considered really good. I have larger Bosch for my router table and wanted a more mobile palm router.
