A safety reminder that protective chaps are not effective with electric chainsaws. The electric motor doesn't stop/shut down if it gets into the chap. On the other hand, a gas powered chain saw, if it gets into the chap, the resistance it hits will cause the combustion-driven engine to die.

Now there's an extra 15% discount taken in the cart that stacks with the coupon code.

I bought this saw a few weeks ago from Lowe's for $39 on clearance and thought it was a good deal. It made short work of a limb that I took down in the back. For $20, it's a steal assuming it's in good condition -- I paid $10 for a non-working Sears chainsaw at a yard sale this summer (didn't know it was non-working, but oh well -- got a chain and bar out of it).

I have no need but I want it. How do I justify it to the wife? Just wish it was a cordless so I could use my 20v batteries from the string trimmer.

Is it locked up? It can be made to run relatively easily unless it's completely toasted. Tons of YT vids on the subject.

I took it apart and cleaned it out. The chain moves when I do it manually, but I get no reaction whatsoever when plugging it in and trying it. I'll check some videos though to see if there's something helpful. Thanks.

Oh, it's electric, I assumed gas. It's likely a disconnect in the power chord internally or a break in wire or possibly the switch. Do you have a multimeter?

Heck just buy it and stash it in the garage or shed. She'll never be the wiser.
