I think the general consensus is that the theatrical cut of Donnie Darko is superior.

These films do not appear to be part of Movies Anywhere. Frown

Yeah.. much of the appeal of the original Donnie Darko was how much was left for you to figure out on your own. The re-release spelled everything out in a painful way.

It became a completely different movie, imo.

Audition is one of those slow burn films. But it truly pays off with a cringe ending that still makes my skin crawl.

Does Donnie Darko and Re-Animator include all the alternate cuts and bonuses from the now OOP Arrow Blu Ray deluxe release?

Sad girls love Donnie Darko lol. If you want some straight up terrifying Japanese horror, Audition is for you.

A favorite... though, surprisingly for me, I thought the theatrical cut was better than the director's cut.

I prefer the score of the directors cut. May be because it's the first cut I watched.

Good point. Donnie Darko (theatrical) is $4.99 at Vudu FYI.

The peppy inxs song to open the movie in the director's cut is a deal killer.
