Again... I think the point of SD is sharing good deals on things that you may want. So maybe you wouldn't drop $500 on a pair of reference earbuds... but someone who is looking for these reference buds may think this is a fantastic deal. Otherwise we would be just posting 50% off at the dollar store all day long and this would no longer be a very useful forum.

After dropping $350 on my bose headphones, I'd imagine these would sound a lot better for only a bit more money? Obviously diff use cases though. With bose I'm optimizing on comfort and noise canceling.

Great find. How do they compare with the original Noble K10U?s They're 600 on md right now so might as well compare apples to apples

So we always used reference headphones and speakers for mixing and mastering. Is the idea that you use these with you iPod or phone? Isn't the problem there the DAC?

Understandably most SDers are going to be reacting to in-ear headphones for $500 with a certain amount of disbelief but although I've never heard these headphones I can say that really good in-ears can be astonishingly good.

I'm tempted to buy these but these days I mostly listen to podcasts so it's probably a waste of money for me. But if you listen to music don't dismiss them out of hand.

I had the older version of this and although it sounds great, not worth the price premium over a $200-300 pair. Definitely marketed towards the well off people who wanna say they own premium $1000 earbuds. (I got mine at a severe discount)

I have custom 1964ears Quads and JH Audio 16s. Unless you have a money tree and/or work in a studio buy some KZ headphones for around $50-$70 and save yourself $400+ for non-custom iem's vs this deal.
