Walmart has marked down the Moto G6 unlocked 32 gb to $59 at several stores. I actually found 2 at a store with limited stock at the store.
Seems to be a great phone for the price!!!

I just tried this at westworth village near fort worth Texas. Brickseek showed in stock for 59.99. They have 2 in stock, but they rang up as 199.99 each. I just don't seem to have much luck with brickseek items and the nice closeout prices. No one else around here seems to have any in stock. What is the magic I seem to be missing with these sort of deals?

Is it better than the moto X4?
Late to the party but wanted to chime in:

I like the feel of the Moto G6 better than the X4. However, I purchased my G6 last year with the google fi deal. Phone bricked in less than 2 months. Used my credit card benefit to get my money back, then bought the X4. Later this year, I was still able to RMA the G6 (google gives you a year to do so) and now I use the refurbished G6 more than the X4. BUt I use one with Verizon and one with Google Fi,

I live less than a mile away from one Walmart and six miles away from another. I've only ever been able to replicate two smartphone deals in years lurking on slick deals. And both deals were for very low end phones. Brickseek is wrong about Walmart stock 95% of the time. Now, some people will chime in and say.. "it's not Brickseeks fault ya big bully!".. WRONG! Yes it is brickseeks fault, they are a third party site not affiliated with any retailer.

Most crazy good electronic deals are pretty hard to fined by the time they hit Slickdeals. I've had good luck with budget phones like the V8 Pro, Huawei Mate SE, LG-G6 (Not Budget Phone) and various Motos. Low end TVs can be had too if ya get on them early. Brick has been pretty accurate for me over the years and I really appreciate their website.

It is strange. A couple of days ago all stores around me were "Out of stock". Yesterday morning they all showed "Limited stock". I stopped by one, there was no phone. They all became "Out of stock" in the afternoon. Today they again all show "Limited stock" (see the screenshot). Why? What is going on?

Update: and just 40 minutes later all stores are back to OOS.

I bought one at the mccart location Tuesday for 59 bucks and kick my self because they had more . Now they say out of stock and tomorrow I was going to go to westworth village because they say limited stock. But I guess I won't anymore.

For the price, it's a good deal if you can find one.

But..... I personally wouldn't buy another G6. I bought two of them last year when Google Fi ran a promotion essentially making them $100 each. One of the phones had defective audio that made the in-call volume level really low. Tried adjusting all the settings, but it's just defective. Had to send it back for a replacement three different times before they sent me one with tolerable audio volume levels, but even then it was never as good as the second G6 I had bought at the same time. If you research the audio problem you'll see it's a known issue, but Motorola doesn't care about fixing it.

The fingerprint reader is also fairly poor. By far the biggest issue though, is the build quality. I bought the best rated and most expensive case I could find for it (a Spigen rugged case) and a tempered glass screen protector. It fell 16" from the bed to a soft floor and it died. The screen was fine, but the glass frame of the back of the phone completely shattered and it never powered on again. It'd cost more to repair then to buy another brand new one. I've had other all glass body phones, but that's the first time in my life I've ever had a phone completely shatter and die like that. Considering it was a short fall to a soft surface, it landed flat face down (not on a corner or stress point), and it was in the best case money could buy, I'm very disappointed in the quality.

I've had other Motorola phones and would recommend them, but I definitely can't say the same for the G6.

The specs are good for a $60 phone, but don't expect too much in the way of build quality.

I just now dropped it on a concrete floor from about 3 feet with a Poetic case on it ($10)

It bounced about 5 inches, landed differently, bounced, and hit the floor again.

Not even a scratch.

But I've seen reviews reviews like yours. So, there's either a sweet spot that breaks the phone, or more likely, the people whose phone broke had other issues (like cracks or scratches) that made it break easier.

The other possibility is all these people are lying, or I am lying, which is unlikely.

Thanks!! I just bought last one 4 days ago at a Walmart that said "out of Stock". I was at the store and just asked if they had the unlocked Moto G6 in stock. Store clerk looked in the cabinet and found me the last one in the back of all Moto E6 and Moto X4 boxes. He scanned it and it rang up as stated by OP.
I suggest you ask if they have any in stock .......you never know!!!
