1080p and 75hz should not be more than that, and you still should not buy it @34 Inches: pixels will be the size of a grain of rice...bigger is not better, not if you will be 2-3 ft away.

Always the one guy. It's a great monitor for anyone with this budget that needs the compromise between productivity and gaming.

I run a 34" at 1980x1080 60 Hz and sit about 2 1/2' away. It works fine for me.

Although I agree this is not a deal, I have bought two separate LG 34" ultra wide monitors at 1080p and they work exceptionally well. I use mine for programming and the text is crystal clear. When I play games they look great (mostly play HOTS) and the extra width gives me an advantage seeing more of the playing field. I think an ideal price for these would be around the lower 200s.

I game on my Ultrawide with these same stats and I have no complaints. Sure for more money I could get an even potentially better experience but not everyone requires the best of the best. For right now I'm happy with my monitor.

VA's where it's @.

IPS has such abysmal contrast. Images quality is flat and whited out.

I just bought a similar one from Best Buy last week and after an hour or two, it randomly goes blank and comes back on after 5 seconds. It's not the cable or video card, anyone else have this problem with LG 34" ultrawides? A google search shows its common on the 2019 models but not the ones from 2017...

Factory OCd Radeon card? If so use global settings wattman, underclk GPU frequency by 7.5 - 8.0. Only solution that reliably worked for me. Also makes sure fan control is set to manual.

My LG 34" ultrawide died 14 months after I got it. It's hard for me to go back to LG after that.

Nope, HP Elitebook with i7 integrated graphics. It was making these scrolling bleeding markings on the right side of the monitor, then would shut off randomly. Tried everything, then returned it to Best Buy.
