They charge for price before coupon. That's like charging regular price for sale item. Or charging for a free after coupon item like today's CVS photo which is free, no tax.

That's because manufacturer coupons (yes, even though it's offered through Walgreens app, they still consider it a manufacturer coupon) are not equivalent to a retailer discount (i.e. sale price or store coupon). They are cash reimbursement from the manufacturer to the retailer. Therefore, the retailer still technically sold the item for full price (minus a coupon good for payment from the manufacturer) and states want their tax revenue. This is how manufacturer coupons have works for years in numerous states. Businesses that don't charge tax on the value of coupons are technically either shortchanging themselves or incorrectly collecting and reporting state sales tax. The exception to that would be a retailer who "doubles" coupons - the second store discount would not be taxable.

The trend lately has been to offer these manufacturer coupons directly through retailer websites and apps to make it using coupons more convenient and environmentally friendly. It costs less than printing and also allows the retailer to advertise a lower price without shouldering all the burden themselves. Is that part of it a little shady? Absolutely - especially when there's strict quantity limits that aren't readily readable on the same page/ad, but this is where all of the extreme couponing got us.

There is at least three wallgreens within a five minute drive from my home. I know of course this might not apply to everybody here, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that for a majority of major metros it's going to be a lot easier just to go into the store to do this rather than deal with online.

Also the digital coupons are one time use, but you can go to Proctor and Gamble's website and get additional two dollar manufacture coupons to be printed.

The coupons are not combinable, but at least this will allow you to buy two bags of pods and two bottles at 2.99 each. You'll probably have to make two separate transactions.

DICTATION! I MEAN DICTATION!

Ok, so it's not perfect... Ever have a girl text you that she's "on her."? Confused the hell outta me and took me about an hour to figure out why my weekend beach plans were shot.

Following the steps were very simple. Your method isn't easier.

You need to add the coupon to your account, and you can do that on their website or download the mobile app. Then show your account barcode on the mobile app when you buy in store. Or tell the cashier the phone number associated with your account. I purchased in store today and there was still sufficient stock on the shelves.

Thanks for the advice ,appreciate that . As tide is superior detergent according to info I read it should be ok if kept in room temperature conditions and not opened . Many people ,from comments I read had used 5 year with no issues at all . maybe I will sell 15 of them at bargain basement prices to friends and neighbors and keep the rest for myself . Just a thought .Thanks for the info ,gotta love the internet reps 4 u broski..I salute u general lol
Temperature won't matter, part of what makes Tide work so great is the enzymes, enzymes are organic and will break down over time regardless of environment. I suggest you sell and make a few bucks to put into other SDs :p

a decade? Ewwww.....stinky cattt
I do 1 load a week ,as I am a little person . usually 1 100 oz bottle does some 50+ loads so if I did 2 loads a week it would last some 14 years , but since I do 1 maybe 2 on occasion it should last at least 2 decades . But since a very smart sd'er warned me it losses how well it cleans over time ,I unloaded 15 plus bottles to a neighbor who is older and does not use internet and because I only charged her $100 bucks the clueless old bag never had a clue and thanked me over and over lol ………...so who's the smelly troller now lol

What's Difficult, especially if your double dipping this way since the digital coupons are one time use?

1. Log into or Register for a Balance Rewards Membership to be able to clip coupons, use the search box and type Tide to clip all related coupons.

2. Go to https://www.pgeveryday.com/offers...ble-offers and print the two $2 coupons for Tide 40oz and Tide Pods 31ct or smaller.

3. Go into store

3. Pickup 2 of each any variety 40-Oz Tide and Tide Pods 14 or 16 pack.

4. Proceed to checkout counter.

5. Checkout using two separate transactions, with one 40oz and one Tide Pods in each. The first transaction will use the one time use digital coupons making the both $2.99 each. The second transaction will use the printed coupons again making them $2.99 each.

Bonus extra $10 rebate: This requires a 24 hour wait. Go back to the P&G website and print two additional of the previously mentioned coupons, go back and buy one each of the 40oz and Pods for $2.99 each.

You will now have purchased 6 items "Originally Priced" at $4.99 and can now submit for the 'Fall P&G $10 rebate' for having purchased 6 items in the qualification period. https://apfco.com/Secured/P3612W/.../EntryForm
