FWIW if you want the smaller size, Costco has the Instant Pot Duo SV 6qt for $90, though I think I saw it cheaper in my local store. (The SV is for "sous vide").

Is this better than Ninja Foodi which also has the air fryer?

Does this have an air fryer feature? And what about a stainless steel pot?

I am also looking to upgrade from a 6 to an 8 but am wondering if others have done this already..... is the 8 just too big? We're basically growing out of the 6 but I don't want to get an oversized behemoth either
I have used both the IP Duo 6 and 8 qts. The main difference is that the 6 qts gets up to pressure faster than the 8 qts (like maybe 8 mins vs 12 mins), but it's no big deal. The bigger size 8 qts makes it easier to use as a steamer, more room to maneuver. And I usually cook enough food to last a few meals, the 8 qts fits my need better.

The IP ultimate seems to be an upgrade to my Duo 8Qts. A lot more features, like SV, altitude adjustments, temperature control etc. The controls seems to be more intuitive with the knob as well instead of the buttons on the Duo. It is sometimes a hassle to change it from let's say a 8 minute steam for steamed eggs, to a 45 mins pressure cook for pork trotters. Plus it is a great price, a much better deal then when I got my Duo 8qts 2 or 3 years ago (i paid around $150 I think).

Kohl's just had a great deal on the 6 qt model and likely will again in the not to distant future. We just paid just shy of $60 out of pocket with tax included for it plus got $10 Kohl's Cash. So keep an eye out for it if you have the time to wait for it:

It is currently on sale for only $70 at the local Costco's.

I just used the 30 off 60 AMEX deal when you use a reward point on it. Never could get it to work but it worked this time

I have this model (6qt) and overall like it. the only complaint i have, is it doesn't always seal properly during pressurization. so you can't set it and walk away, once you get the pin to pop up, you are good to go. but if you just turn it on and leave, it may continue to heat for longer than expected (forever maybe?) before moving to the cooking phase because it didn't seal properly. I'm ordering a new silicon seal to see if that helps the issue. but if you just hang around till it hits the pressurization phase to make sure its sealed, it's fine. if not, i usually just push/pull on the lid a bit and it will seal, I wouldn't trust it for a timed / not being around type of situation though.

I know this may sound crazy, but my 6 qt. used to have the same problem.... until I figured out that my silicone seal had a "right way" and a "wrong way". As long as I keep the lettering right next to the lid top ( away from the rim) I have no issues.

$100 seems like at lot based on recent deals at Kohl's and Target.
