Saw this at my local Costco, and apparently it's available on Costco.com as well:
https://www.costco.com/legoland-c...15264.html

Features:
Enjoy 12 Months of unlimited admission to LEGOLAND® California, LEGOLAND Water Park and SEA LIFE® aquarium
First visit on or before March 31,2020
Blackout dates December 26, 2019-January 1, 2020 and December 26, 2020-January 1,2021
Two 1-Day Resort Hopper Buddy Tickets valid through March 31, 2020, blackout dates apply
Delivered via email

For us (family of 3), we will probably get 2 passes and use the 4 buddy tickets for all three of us to go 4 times. The only downside is the buddy ticket is only valid until 3/30/2020.

* Parking not included.

If you plan to go more than 3 times, get the gold annual pass for 159. Just need for 1 person (not everyone). Parking along is 20 bucks each time and this gives you free regular parking along with discounts to foods, shopping, etc.

The regular price of the gold pass is $210. It's only $159 for socal residents.

I was told that people can upgrade at the gate, so I am betting on getting it now for $99 with 2 extra tickets, and pay additional $60 at the gate to upgrade to gold annual pass.

Compared with last year's price, it was $104 during Black Friday week, without 2 buddy tickets.

To be fair though, it had a fixed end day of 1/18/2020, so if you started to use the pass right away, you could have total 13.5 months.

I like this years' rule that it's 12 months after you first use it or 4/30/2021.

If you want to upgrade one of your family's annual passes to the Gold pass (formerly Merlin pass) that includes free parking, you pay the difference between the Costco regular price of the Playpass ($119.99) and the pass you're upgrading too. So even if you buy it on sale for $99, you'll get $120 credit towards whatever you upgrade too. If you can do so on a good deal day like Black Friday or Cyber Monday, even better.

If there's a deal going on, for example right now there is a Southern California resident offer for a gold pass for $159, you'd pay $40 to upgrade one pass (no need to do all of them, just need one person for free parking and 10% discounts in park).

To help fellow SDers, the upgrade path is no longer working. I was there on Sat and they refused the upgrade to SoCal price of $159, only to the regular price of $210. I ended up buying a gold pass on my phone right there on the spot with a $3 surcharge (they said SoCal deal is online only)

Was at Costco today and they extended the $99 deal till 11/15.

So is is my understanding right that the best way for 2+1 family is to get two $99 passes from Costco for adults and one $159 Gold pass in child's name? Is that right?
