If I have a few thousand dollars of nikon lenses why do I care what others are saying? I expect I'd be happy with dslr most of the time.

70-300mm lens without stabilization is not much good at the 300mm end. the Nikon VR version of this lens is really excellent though

Just $496 for the body. The 2 lenses for $100 are a good value. I believe these.are af-p lenses the short one has vr the big telephoto does not.

In good light, I've had no trouble getting great sports/action shots with it at 250-300mm and a high shutter speed. But you definitely might have issues in low light or extremely quick action.

It's just as good at the long end provided you raise the shutter as needed.
