$100 more for 2019 version at Best Buy, no warranty but with the OLEDs I'd prefer a Best Buy warranty that covers burn in... https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony...lsrc=aw.ds

meh its a hundred dollars less than anywhere else. How do you get the 4yr warranty? Didn't see an option.

Add square trade 3 yr extended warranty and it'll be 7 yr warranty. The Citi card 2 yr kicks in after the square trade expires. Buying from Costco is worth the extra cost. If this is a TV you are looking for.

I believe if you buy from Costco the standard warranty is 2 years (5 years for Samsung QLED) if you have costco credit card it adds two more years.

Gotcha. I found the Citibank 2 year coverage. If you were to get the Squaretrade, how would you add it? I did not see the option. But thanks fro the reply, now I know about the Costco warranty I keep reading about.

Same screen, just Sony hardware around it. If it were me, I'd opt for the LG version as Sony is notorious for never updating the software.

Comparison to the LG C9: https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...9g/802/833

Edit: whoops. Was comparing the A8G to C9 but still useful since it's the 2019 model.

Good deal. I would jump all over this if I didn't already have an LG E8. Love the sound system that uses the glass on these.

I had the Best Buy warranty on a plasma screen for that exact reason. Never again! They will do everything not to replace it, and when you finally get them to cave there will be no replacement screen parts available as it's not a current model by then, and so they offer "fair market value" for your used TV, which is nothing. It was pennies on the dollar.

Biggest ripoff ever that I paid into for 5 years. If I had just saved the money spent on warranty over those years instead I could have bought a brand new top end model to replace it.
