Seeing repeated questions in this thread, so copied over from previous thread.

Just received and setup mine. Info for everyone on the fence. See attached pictures for reference on the interior.

The display is 1080P. Cheap IPS display (if IPS at all), large decrease in brightness at 45 degree off center. Will be annoying if you do a lot of multi-people movie watching, but good enough for work and gaming. To get the full resolution effect, remember to Desktop -> Right Click -> Display Settings -> Change default scale of 125% to 100%
Only 2 Lenovo and 2 Mcafee applications to uninstall
Works fine with 4k external monitor as extended display at 4k resolution
Windows 10 Home comes activated (yes, some more expensive laptops doesn't include Windows license)
Fan runs constantly when under load (tested by doing 1 hour of windows updates), but it's not too annoying.
10 phillips screws hold the back plastic panel. Once removed, start from the display end and work around the edge, gently unsnapping and prying off the back cover.
3 phillips screws hold the black metal motherboard cage in. Once removed, gently pry off the black cage which will be held by clamps on all sides. I was able to remove the cage with my fingers by prying off one side and working around. Underneath the cage you will find 4 GB of replaceable RAM (other 4 GB is solder on) and the SSD.
If you removed the 3 black metal cage phillips screws already, then 2 more phillips screws (different size) hold the expandable storage cage in. If you haven't, then you will have to remove 2 + 2 phillips screws to remove the storage cage.

is this the best deal of the year ?

Love its design. So far it's very fast even when opening 2 browsers at once with multiple tabs open. Screen is beautiful. The sound is great. Lowering the brightness all the way down turns off the screen. The screen physically goes all the way down although I don't know how that would be useful. So far I'm keeping it. I'll see how it does in the upcoming weeks.

Don't know about "the best deal of the year", but it seems damn good. It ticks most boxes for most people.

Only downside from reviews I think is kinda shitty battery life.

can anyone confirm the resolution? it's not listed on the website, just says "Display: 15.6" HD IPS LED".

edit: i do see another thread where this was posted, and said some people have confirmed that it is 1080p. i wonder why this info is so elusive on this product, i figure it would be a good selling point.

Looking to buy this for my wife to use for her college classes. She asked me to find her a Chromebook but I think this would be better since it's Windows.

No usb c charging unfortunately. Also isn't 2500U CPU a power hog that drains battery life?

No touch screen. Not that you need it, but in case folks are wondering.
