Last couple of years, the best deals for this time of year were the first 2 weeks of Nov. Anything with BF in the title is designed to trick u into thinking u are getting a deal....

Not to get off topic but...what a shite shopping experience. Can't specify laptop display size. They're not very clear about max RAM / RAM expand ability. Room for extra drives is semi-mysterious.

Have you ever tried shopping for a laptop on Amazon? Unless you know the specific model you want, GOOD LUCK.

Ha! I get in that argument all the time. The Amazon UX is horrible! If you woke up from a 30 year sleep and I said "This is the largest ecomm company in the world" you would laugh in my face, and probably call me a liar.

The problem is, their site is "tuned" for heavy users, and everyone else isn't even on their radar. It's TMI. etc.

Agreed. I hate it. And more or less refuse to shop there.

Last year, there were deals on lower specced XPS models but not the premium models which seems to be normally what happens every year. Your best bet is to wait for cashback sites with 20% Dell offer and combine it with Amex Dell 10% offer (if it ever comes around again).

IIRC, the models that went on sale were not customizable.

I've got a $100 credit that I need to spend at Dell's website, and I need a new NAS, but the pickings are slim, and none of what they have is on sale.

The REFERENCE Dell laptop Deal is (last month)

model G5 SE, alpine white

9750h 6 core cpu
1660 Ti gpu
144hz screen, 15.6inch
8gb ram
256gb ssd
1 tb hdd

for $940.18 before tax w/ $235 rakuten points (1 year to spend), -5% discover paypal, some people had 10% discover paypal (targeted discount)

For me out the door, + Tax, $1006 -$235-$50 = ~$721

I found a button that said "shop more laptops" and was able to specify display size and resolution. It returned 5 Alienware gaming computers. I was not impressed by the prices :-(

Hate this up to 45% bs. A 1% discount also falls under "upto 45%"
