Maybe they want everyone to switch to HBO Max

They're hemorrhaging customers and need to pull more from what they have.

If they go down, its on them. Sure as hell wont be funding this sinking ship.

I've only stuck around since the early data due to price. I was going to switch to psvue but with them shutting down I'll need to look at another alternative. Possibly Hulu tv

I've had the Go Big package since the beginning (120 channels, HBO, etc) for $50 a month. Looked at their current pricing structure and it looks dismal, raising those prices is insanity when they are bleeding customers. I'd like to see them survive to keep what I have, but this don't look good. PSVue, hold the door open as you leave........

I have had the Go Big package and paid $35 at the very beginning. After going through several major price increases and another one next month, I'm ready to cancel. What is the next best alternative with similar channels?

I have the early adopters plan (still, I know, thanks to my SO who uses this service) and the price goes up to $60 from $50.

I think their service would be soon as much as a standard satellite or a cable company which defeats the purpose of using a streaming service.

I would (somewhat) understand if they were producing lots of original programming but in this case they are simply greedy.

its always going to be an expensive mess to have access to new content.

the real money saved is in waiting a few months after release to watch it. movies, tv... all is way cheaper if you just freaking wait a little bit.

sports are the only thing i wish i could get. I want a sports only package. i dont need the other shit because i can watch on OTA tv a few months later with ads, or buy the series i want on amazon or redbox or whatever.

to put it into perspective... i havent had cable tv in over 15 years. i used to spend $55 a month for it. I am still alive, and have saved $10,000. Of course, not sure how much i spent on buying direct... but its not anywhere near that much!

Free YouTube has more and better content than the best DirecTV plan available. Satellite TV is an obsolete platform with nearly every channel ruined by "reality" TV.

As time goes on, DirectTV's demographic will more closely mirror Life Alert's.

Also have had Go Big from the beginning with intro price, and no email yet. But I'm bracing myself. Thanks for the heads up. If it's unreasonable, I'll cancel and just stick with OTA antenna broadcast.

i think slingtv is the best deal imo. $25 a month for blue is great... but if you want all the channels its still not bad at $40 a month.

When I heard about this increase last week, I priced out other options. I'll likely give Sling Orange + Blue + Sports + News for less than the new ATT Now price. I'll finally have the Pac-12 Network which ATT Now doesn't have.
