I got the 49 inch version of the 515 with 2 yr warranty an refurbished for about $235 when all said and done. Mine has worked great so far an no problems at all. It was packaged very very carefully. Only negative was the power cord was missing but I bought 1 for $10 at bestbuy. Easy solution.

Great deal. I have had good luck with WM refurbs. Bought a Vizio 55" and 43" two years ago and had no problem at all.

I have always read horror stories about refurb Walmart TVs on here, and last time the TCL 6 refurb was on for a good price a few weeks ago, I decided to bite the bullet and grab one for the spare bedroom. It came in, box looked great, packaging looked great, cracked screen. Was a bit of a pain but got it returned to b&m, but probably not for me.

Agreed! I've read nothing but nightmares from people getting bad refurbs from them. Hard pass

I also had bad experience with Walmart refurbished. 2 TVs, first had a cracked screen, second was super dim.
I really don't know how do they qualify them as refurbished and how do they have so many cracked TVs.

I have a 43" (515) I bought new from Best Buy that works great.

Good set for the price. The 5 series doesn't have the notorious banding issue the 6 series does, though it does suffer from flashlighting from the corners which is something to look for

I got the 49s515 refurb with 3 year warranty a couple months back. Came in mint condition and for what I paid (I think 240 in total) it is decent. This seems like an even better deal so probably worth taking a shot. 4k looks good and after proper color calibration it can look quite nice. Temper your expectations though if you've been looking at the 6 series as this model does not get very bright and can leave you wanting for more as far as contrast goes. Otherwise for gaming and such it's great. SDR looks kinda meh probably due to the upscaling being just ok. Watching Thursday night football though say through Amazon on a firestick actually looks better than anticipated. Hope this helps
