According to reviews, these are Hynix CJR dies. IME, pretty good overclockers.

If you're an Amazon Prime member, you can get a 16GB Patriot DDR4-3600 kit with Hynix CJR dies for $75 prime shipped: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1 (see attachment)

I own the patriot kit, it has a chance of also being Samsung b-die. But no matter what you get good memory as CJR is also very good

The timings on those are not great though. C16 @ 3600Mhz is best bang for buck.

This would be the ideal kit for a Ryzen budget build--IF the CPU is a Zen 2 chip. The money spent on 5-10% gains from higher clocked kits with tuned timings would be better invested in faster CPU or GPU.

I'm not an expert but I do know that Ryzen CPU like a lot of RAM so these should do fine at 3600.

There probably is no great benefit for 3000 series as they decoupled somewhat the CPU performance and the memory speed. For the 3000 series tight timing is as important as memory speed.

But this probably can run at about 3200 15-17-17 or 2800 14-16-16 and they are pretty decent.

The only problem is that some people report BSOD at 3600 and had to clock down to 3466.

Over the past year my philosophy on RAM has changed. Stability is very important now. Even when the ram passes various stress tests it may still fail with some finicky games like the ones in Total War series.

3200G and 3400G are actually 2000 series so they will benefit from the higher clock speed as well as their GPUs.

Lower timings (CAS) and higher frequencies are good. Find some within your budget. It was only the 1st gen Ryzen that had compatibility issues with certain ram kits. I've seen it be reported that 3000 series is not as picky.

3200G and 3400G is Zen+, they can barely do 3600under 1.4V,most memory even b die could do 3533without issue.

That's true. I thought the question was concerning Zen 2 only, which overclock memory higher and benefit more from it as well.

Can't predict the future, depends how fast you need it. If you wait till black friday, I bet there will probably be a better deal, however this isn't a bad one.

Look at my attachment. It's running at CL16 in my rig.
