I guess it is ok. These 3 books typically retail for about $27 but can be had on sale for $20 if you are patient. There is already a 4th book which was released this year which is not included in this set, so I'm not sure what the value of a collectors edition is that has only 3 out of the currently 4 available (and 3 out of the 7 that will eventually be released).

Target.com has books buy 2 get 1 free. They have the illustrated books, not in a boxed set, for around $25 each.
My total for all three was under $50

I don't think it's a good deal. I''ve picked 2 of these for like $6-$8 during holiday season from Amazon. Couldn't find a deal yet on the 1st book. That being said, if you can't wait (like reeeealy wait), this is definitely better than paying MRP.
I've already read and re-read them several times from regular book collection I have, so I can wait. But if this is for a kid to get into the world of magic, I wouldn't even think twice before buying.

That was a pricing mistake several years ago on Walmart and then Amazon auto-matched it or vice versa. It is not the normal sale price.

Note that the Amazon product details say Sorcerer's Stone. If it's the UK version, it should be "Philosopher's Stone."

Also the UK illustrated version is published by Bloomsbury.

This probably is the American version.

If you're a purist or completist Harry Potter fan, that will matter,

Not really sure where the OP got the "British edition"
