The first gen version was called "Stickup Cam" and was battery only.

The second generation added the power source to the name. This is a 2nd generation camera with wired power, so it's called Stickup Cam Wired. It has the best video quality in my opinion of any of the Ring cameras and I have nearly all of them to judge against.

The newest cameras released in the last few weeks are the 3rd generation. The 3rd gen Stickup Cam Wired does not have POE and has a different field of view and mounting options.

The best comparison between the 2nd gen Stickup Cam Wired would be to the Stickup Cam Elite. Elite comes with a POE injector but no USB. The 2nd gen comes with indoor and outdoor USB, but no POE injector. This means it will work with POE, you just need a way to provide POE power or will have to buy an adapter such as the one the 3rd gen comes with.

I pay $100 per year for Ring Alarm. Because I have Ring Alarm, my insurance company takes 10% off of my bill. That 10% that I save is more than $100. So I have more money than I would if I didn't pay for Ring Alarm. I'm not sure how that's "quick maths". 🤔

With the release of the indoor cam (nominally $60), these aren't all that useful anymore except for some outdoor applications.

This is not MSRP, this is the second generation that is normally $179, the 3rd generation is $99, I just bought one the other day and based on issues people are having you might want to go with the second generation instead.

Great deal! These are 2nd gen PoE available cameras - normally $180. Thanks for the post!

Just what I need for inside detached garage and three season room (need outdoor operating temperature range) and I like the PoE

What issues are people having? What issue(s) did you have? I got 4x stick up cam's with the solar panels, they just shipped like 10-23 or something.

I have 2 indoor 3rd gen and 1 battery outdoor 3rd gen with solar panel.

So far no problem for me, except that wired indoor one's usb socket is very loose. I had to tape over it to secure the power source.
