This site has helped so many of us over the years to save money, learn about new products, make friends and help each other.
Soon we'll be celebrating its 20th Anniversary and we'd love to hear your stories.

Personally, I have made many friends, some of whom I have met and many who are dear to me even though I'll likely never see them in person.
When I went through a serious medical issue back in '06 many members, and Mr SD himself, rallied around to keep my spirits up and get me through it for which I will always be grateful.

Amazingly, a few years later I moved to Las Vegas to work in the company and help grow the site as well as the mod, DE and QA teams and it's been a wonderful experience.

I've also filled my home with all sorts of deals. Things I never would have afforded before but Slickdeals helped me be able to and members helped show how to make some deals work and also gave advice on brands, merchants and the like.

Now I ask another favor...please share your experiences with us by filling out this form.

Thank you in advance Grouphug

It would help us gather all of the shared stories if you use this form:

Thank you! I hope you have a story to share, too.

I submitted mine on the form.

Schooby, those are great memories to have.

I personally feel like I have "grown up" on SD. I started off as a wild and crazy Lounger back in 2005... almost 15 years ago! Wow!

I love my SD friends and family.

Completed. Though I'm not a huge poster on here, I do read a lot and have enjoyed the site for probably close to 15 years (yeah, sorry I didn't register for a long time in the beginning).

I think it's a great place and shows that people can come together, offering their most precious commodity (time), with little expectation of a return.

I edited it accordingly. LMAO What a great first 20 years it's been. Just think of how many websites we crashed and shutdown. Sorry FW. I miss Bing cashback like crazy. The T-Mobile HTC Touch Pro 2 deal was insane and way ahead of it's time. From woot off's to the HP fire sale. The archives hold so many treasures that many newbies will never know about. Thanks SD.

Computer Heaven, Go Hastings, Drugstore.com, Kmart, Tiger Direct, Circuit City, Buy.com, Officemax, HSN, Etoys, Toysrus, the 50% off Sears glitch.. Service Merchandise, Ross Simmons, Sony points, Vtech trials, Overstock.com frequent glitches. The Sears SYWR game. The year Macys dumped their inventory.. Wilson's Leather 90% off clearance sale. The Zales crazy clearance.

The Lowes $10 off no minimum coupon.. Pinecone checks, Brand Institute, Johnson, Survey Savvy, Buzz, Being paid to spy on sites for research. Sleep studies, research panels, free trials.

The coupon forum.. CVS Ecbs, Riteaid, Walgreens, printables, price matching, triple coupons.. Free samples, free movie tickets.. Everyday was like Christmas. Thank you S/D. RIP to all of the other deal sites

I've been around here for at least 16 years (19th). Hard to believe it's been that long.

On a side note, I started browsing SlickDeals at the workplace I am still working at (21+ years) and still browsing from.

HP Touchpads? The original Woot BoC? Selma. TigerDirect rebates. The most fun always seemed to be around Black Friday though. It's why I joined up and it still the time of year I am most active on the site. There was always a number of users from back then who names were a bit iconic. I keep forgetting the user who had Bartman and always referred to himself in the third person, Vster, someone who used the Volunteers as an avatar who posted alot of BF ads, Schooby the bus driver, rayzac, and the rarely seen Mr. SD.

If I recall, my first ever deal post was for a price error for Ace Combat at Sears. EDIT: My First Post

Those memories.

You forgot the $30 off no minimum at Lowes! What was the Walmart site glitch? My biggest regret so far was the camera deals during Prime day this year...$16k rigs for ~$100!

So many deals over the years, but the one that still sticks out to me over all the others is the HP Touchpad treasure hunt.
Its what made me realize that 'the thrill is in the hunt'
Deal hunting is a hobby and reward in itself, not just for saving money.
