This uses QLC , so is the low end for nvme drives. It's still better than any SATA drives, but is in a similar class as the Intel 660p.

Performance is usually ok for consumer use, but if you get it too full, or transfer too much data in one go and fill up the cache then performance will nosedive.

There was a sale on Amazon for the XPG SX8200 Pro a few days ago for $86. I think you should return the one you have and try to wait for better deals if you don't need it at this moment. Especially with BF around the corner, there will be better deals for SSDs for sure.
