From what I've seen, the Artisan series is rated higher than the professional in most reviews. The extra 1 qt size also means it takes up a bit more counter space for incremental benefit when 5 qt is already enough.

Amazon has also matched for the Espresso color, so I'm in for one.

Not a great price. These go on sale for 150 regularly. Hell, isn't normal price for them like 250?

I picked up my Pro 600 for 300 not even a month ago.

Wait and watch, you can find a much better deal for a Artisan model.
Incorrect this is the artsian model currently 379 at Bestbuy

Well,Costco mixer has more power and that's what matters to ME. I went through several reviews on Amazon and this is what people are complaining about on artisan. I wanted to play it safe and bought in Costco.

Funny. I prefer the lift bowl version. And gladly pay more for it.

The Costco model struggles with small batch size, especially if you are making doughs. The larger bowl causes your dough to kind of just get slapped around instead of kneaded by the hook. I returned my 6 qt Costco model for a 5 qt because I couldn't get any doughs to form without increasing the batch size to an amount way too big for 2 people.
