I've been eyeing that EXACT configuration, i5/8GB/128GB! Definitely buying it once the sale starts as I need to upgrade from my SP3 which I've been rocking since it came out.. Thanks!
That configuration is a down right steal. Over the holidays you'll see several sales on it that demolish the other models in price to performance. But what i wanted to mention to you is that they will match lower prices across the holidays so your safe buying it on this deal.

I skipped the 4 & 5 due to the resume hardware issues but I've owned every other one. The surfaces age awesomely. Our SP1's are just as snappy as day 1. And the 3 you already own is quite nice.

You know, Best Buy has a trade-in deal saving $200 for purchasing Surface Pro until 11/23/2019. If best buy can price match with MS on 11/22/2019, that could be an awesome deal, I think.

I prefer the extra RAM and i7 on the Surface Book. Windows 10 has improved much since its 2015 release also. But either way, I'm sure they both have great reviews!

I'd go mac if I had an iPhone and other Apple products. They work together very well. I switched recently though so windows for me!

It depends on what you're looking for. I bought a MacBook to learn to use Mac OS, but I regret not being able to play my extensive PC game library, though I did setup my gaming PC to also run a Parsec server so as long as I have a good connection, I can play some games.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you, I never used Mac before but wanted to try.

I have a Surface Pro 6 that I replaced after it started an evil resume problem. I was pretty incensed about it and bought a Samsung S3 with a gorgeous OLED screen.

Sometime this year MS pushed an update that fixed the Surface but now I am loving the OLED screen in spite of my disgust at all the lousy mobile web sites in Android.
The SP is fixed now but I don't have much trust of MS and the Surface line left.

You taught me that incensed was an adjective for very angry/enraged.

Initially, I thought that you were covered in the smell of spices.

Thank you for expanding my vocabulary.
