better graphics card and processor.

I think this would be a better deal. You do lose the touch and backlit keyboard though. Depends on what you use it for. Personally, I think I'm sticking with the Lenovo.

This one (HP) is better than the Lenovo. Has a better processor and graphics card. But the Lenovo has a backlit keyboard and touchscreen. Depends on what you value more. Both are great laptops.

For $80 more, how much better is this than the current deal Lenovo S340 with IPS touch? Memory can go up to 32 GB so that's nice.

I think this is a good deal. I've shied away from the Pavilion line for laptops after a bad first experience (opting for Envy at a minimum) but I picked up both the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 Pavilion gaming PCs this year (same green LED lighting) and I think they were great values. I picked up an Envy 360 laptop this year at this price (not gaming) for the all metal chassis. If the chasis is solid on this, I'd say this is a fantastic deal.

This looks like a good deal. I can't find any reviews on the model though.

Ok, I saw that but was thrown off because this is $60 more, not $80 Smilie

I'm interested in this one, but the two-week shipping time kills it for me. By then Black Friday will be upon us and I'm sure I'll be able to do better.

This comment was confusing to me. Which laptop do you think is better? Does the Pavilion not have a backlit keyboard?

For those wondering, the Intel varient (i5-9300h) is a bit better overall for video rendering and gaming. It does use a little more power though, so if you don't need as much power as possible and would like a little extra battery life, I'd recommend getting this AMD version.

Also, the GTX 1050 in these are the 3GB, meaning they're basically a slightly cut down 1050ti 4GB. It preforms higher than a 1050 2GB/4GB, but slightly below a 1050ti 4GB.

Gotcha. I'm not up on the Pavilion gaming models but my gut says this is a backlit keyboard. Are you going by that it doesn't say it does?
