I guess it's good if you use Lyft and have a Samsung Pay account.

Here's how you can get rewarded with Lyft:

Go to www.SamsungRewards.com/Lyftand follow the instructions to link your accounts.Starting today, October 29, the first 60,000 Samsung Pay users to link your Lyft and Samsung Rewards accounts will earn 1,000 points.[1]Once your accounts are linked, you will earn one Samsung Rewards point for each dollar you spend on Lyft rides in the United States.[2]You'll also be automatically entered for the chance to win Lyft for a year,[3] as well as additional prizes and promotions in the Samsung Rewards catalog.

Maybe $1 at most. Samsung Rewards points are really useless.

Samsung pay points are so utterly useless I won't bother to do anything extra for 1K points.

I used to wonder the same thing. Then I started driving for Uber and Lyft. There are a lot of practical uses - pilots dont have a car in every city. Flight attendants, for a short vacation/business trip you dont need to rent a car. Downtown parking for concerts etc, no parking. Breakdowns taking people to/from the mechanic. Elderly going to/from doctors apts (lyft has a contract with some medical insurance companies to provide transportation). Uber has contracts with some municipalities to get people to/from the bus stations. Law enforcement and normal people use Uber and Lyft as a designated driver. I can go on all day, but last night I made just over $200 after gas, so I figure about 175 in an 8hr period. It's like that every Friday and Saturday night except for the 2 months of brutal summer here in Florida. Eyes dilated from the eye dr? Dentist? Have blood work done? Feel like shi* and need to go get some scripts? It goes on and on...

Lot of info sharing:

view details about rides you have taken including location and route information

view your profile details

get notified in real time about rides you take, whether through the Lyft app or other apps, including location and route

I wish I knew there was no way to delete my info from Lyft before I did this. They keep it permanently. Beware. I've used my Samsung points for several things (Samsung 55", Gear Sport watch, etc) and I like getting free points, but this isn't free.
