I'm pretty satisfied with the G29 despite spending so many hours trying to get a right feel and calibration for it on Forza Horizon 4. I just recently heard about this thread
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/th...619/page-4 [gtplanet.net]

talking about potential new wheels from Logitech. I really hope they make a belt design or at least a hybrid belt and gear. I'd give them my money for such a product.
Just don't drive yourself crazy. Because the Logitech is a step down in terms of force feedback compared to the thruster, it requires some tuning for each game. Oh man do I remember printing out sheets and sheets of people studying the Project Cars settings (since it is so extensive).

I won't take another risk getting a Thrustmaster.

Risk? You obviously bought a dud, you should have just had it replaced. Anyone who's used both knows that the T300 is built better than the Logitech.

If anyone has multiple systems, there are adapters that let you play across consoles and previous gen. Look up the brooke adapter and the ReaSnow Cross Hair.

I have this with my xBox specifically for Horizon 2, 3, and 4. Great fun.
Be aware that you will need some type of stand to put this on.
And then you might be tempted to buy some type of chair setup to go with it.
you can also mount it to a desk.

Anyone have an idea for a cheap rig to use this rather than just using a table or something?
There are a lot of options, from 2x4s to PVC to an ironing board to a computer desk. There are also canvas folding chairs that store nicely.

I will never buy another logitech wheel when they didn't make the g27 compatible with PS4
That is pretty much every wheel from every manufacturer. Blame Sony and Microsoft for charging substantial licensing fees. There are adapters available that let you use both.

How much improvement should I expect on my lap times with this, on F1 2019 for example? Which BTW is on sale in the MSFT/XBOX store right now.
Some get better, others don't. Controllers aren't a bad way to play, they just aren't as natural.

I DID want it replaced. But Amazon had non in stock and my only option was a return and repurchase later at the higher price. But others have had theirs die. I wasn't the only one from this thread that had theirs die. It was an awesome wheel. I can't get the same feel on the G29 (also on sale right now for $200). but I'm okay with it because of the piece of mind.

Thrustmaster T300 is vastly superior than the logitech. Logitech are plastic and toy like. T300 went on sale for $200 earlier this year.
While I agree that the T300RS is superior, these Logitech wheels were said to have more metal than the Thrustmaster equivalent wheels and the technology inside is old and loud, but very reliable.

with that said, I wouldn't buy this because I'm sure the G920 with shifter will be priced similar during Black Friday sales.

Just remember a good racing chair is usually $200 plus. I cant play in my gaming chair as every time i brake the force needed to push on the pedal pushes my seat back backwards.

On the other hand this is an amazing racing wheel. The force feedback is really strong and i really enjoy mine
what you would have paid $200 for, I solved by replacing the casters on my chair for $12! Look at the link below, these work awesome!

This is a good deal. I bought mine last summer for $199 from Amazon on Prime Day. Still works perfectly and have not had any issues.
Prime day also had kits for just a little more that had the shifter, I would wait for BlackFriday.

The 920 is using old tech. I'm trying to find something on Black Friday using belts.
