The queen-sized Heated Microplush Blanket allowed me to stack promotion code: CUDDLDUDS10 on top if it for an additional $10 off, making the price $30.39 pre-tax.

Edit: My family owns three of these which have been working well for over a year now (almost daily use in the colder months). I did purchase one last year that died within a few uses, but Kohl's took it back since it was in the return window.
The queen sized ones and up are nice because they have two separate control systems vs the Full which only came with one.

Kind of makes me want to only get the full and not have wires every where unless the second contrlller can be disconnect? , Anyone know if these power cords lock in because the Sunbeam version would always unplug during a nights sleep and I'd had to duck tape it to last just a couples days of normal movement

The queen would only heat one side if you disconnected the second controller. Yes it is a bit annoying to have the cords but I tuck them away and it doesn't bother me too much. If you have limited plug in ports in the bedroom though, I would get the full size. The double sided one is good for if you sleep next to someone who doesn't want the same level of heating. I don't know about anyone else, but for the most part they locked in well. The one in the guest room gets disconnected on occasion, but there is a good amount of slack on the cords.
I will have to say that heating can be variable sometimes. Sometimes they heat up fast and seem very warm quickly; other times it seems like it's heating only in patches. Usually if I turn it off and on again eventually it will heat up evenly. It does have an automatic shut off timer after about 8 hours I think?

Cool, thanks. Yeah the heating are up and down on them these days compared to those early 90s ones I remember as a kid the heating elements seem too spread apart now. I buy them for gifts for my GF every year bc they never seem to last 2 seasons. Hoping this brand is better than Sunbeam, the Sherpa ones for 15$ more seem like they would be really warm, maybe too warm

This brand doesn't really last either. I bought a Biddeford one from Target on Black Friday 2 years ago. It still 'works' but it seems like only half of the blanket heats now.

None of them last any more. I have an old one that's a high quality one from the old days, not that plush crap. I think it's a Martex brand. It's fabulous and still going strong after many years. The new ones are crap. Sunbeam is an old name that sounds like quality. I'm sure someone purchased that name or licensed it.

I think the new ones are definitely more 'safe', so manufacturers put overly cautious fail-safes in. I think there were a lot of reports of fires and such from old overheating Sunbeam blankets. Of course, look at them funny and now they tend to stop working.
